Hidden Treasures: Illuminating Overlooked Lessons within the Practices

Start Time: 12:30 PM Pacific/3:30 PM Eastern

Steve Coats is a Certified Master from Cincinnati, Ohio, who has been delivering The Leadership Challenge Workshop longer than anyone but the authors themselves. His depth of experience, both with the material and with facilitation, allows him to glean ways of sharing The Leadership Challenge model that are innovative and insightful. Steve has been watching the current struggles leaders face and is ready to share some practical knowledge and tools.

In our session we will explore and discuss some real, easily overlooked gems of learning that exist within each of The Five Practices. The goal of the session is to enable facilitators to be more confident and competent in explaining each practice in a more complete, yet practical way. For example, in Model the Way we might discuss what the Characteristics of Admired Leaders (CAL) is really telling us. For Inspire a Shared Vision we’ll explore how you really want aspiring leaders to be thinking – and acting – differently as a result of their experience with that Practice. If facilitators and coaches can think about the entire topic of leadership, as well as each Practice, more thoroughly, they will have unlimited options for getting the messages across more effectively to others, thus increasing the chances that people everywhere will adopt and demonstrate better ways of leading.
